Adoption Books"I Love You Like Crazy Cakes"--SHARE YOUR ADOPTION BOOK REVIEW--"I Love You Like Crazy Cakes" (by Rose A. Lewis, with illustrations by Jane Dyer is a sweet, beautifully illustrated book about a woman's process of adopting a girl from China. It is a thin book that you could share with a child about the process of adoption. The illustrations are just beautiful. Also, a lovely gift to give to someone who is going to adopt - my husband gave it to me. The only piece missing in the book is the father. A single Mother may find it complete, but we did miss the father figure. Review By: Annette and John Excerpt: "ONCE UPON A TIME in China there was a baby girl who lived in a big room with lots of other babies. The girls shared cribs with one another and became great friends. The girls had nannies to take care of them, but each was missing something--a mother" (from "I Love You Like Crazy Cakes", by Rose A. Lewis, September 1, 2000 Available in several languages.) |
