More about Kidsave International

Each year Kidsave International needs families to host older orphans for six weeks during its Summer Miracles program. Host families can be people interested in adopting an older orphan, or individuals wanting to advocate on behalf of a child.

To learn more about Kidsave International's Summer Miracles program, or the organization in general, visit www.kidsave.org. To sign up to host a child, or children, call Hiliary Jenkins, Summer Miracles program manager at 202-237-SAVE (7283).

Kidsave and Fairfax County:
Kidsave recently partnered with Fairfax County's Department of Family Services to help older foster children find homes in the area through its Weekend Miracles Program. A version of the summer program, Weekend Miracles places local children with host families and advocates working toward finding permanent homes. The program also trains host families and prepares the children and families for the adoption process, among other things.

The program is scheduled to expand its outreach to approximately 30 children in the Washington, D.C. foster care system in the next few months.

To learn more about Kidsave Fairfax Weekend Miracles, to sign up as a host family or advocate, or to donate money to help support the children, visit www.kidsave.org, or call Hiliary Jenkins at 202-237-SAVE (7283).
